Welcome to NIIC

The National Intelligence & Investigations Conference is a practical one day event designed for private investigators, field agents, intelligence analysts, and compliance professionals. The program focuses on real world OSINT, lawful skip tracing, social media investigations, evidence handling, privacy obligations, and reporting that stands up in court. NIIC brings together trainers and working investigators to demonstrate repeatable workflows that improve hit rates, reduce wasted time, and protect your matters with defensible methodology.

Sessions cover the complete online investigations stack, from planning and legal foundations to collection, validation, enrichment, link analysis, and brief writing. You will learn how to design search strategies that surface hard to find people, how to run compliant identity resolution, and how to document findings with audit trails that satisfy clients, regulators, and courts. We address modern data sources, browser hygiene, environment isolation, evidence capture, and the limits on what you can lawfully collect and retain in Australia.

For field agents and private investigators, skip tracing is the shared core skill that links both professions. NIIC emphasises practical skip tracing techniques, using OSINT to locate subjects, corroborate contact points, and safely plan approaches. We include pattern recognition on social networks, workplace and corporate records, property and tenancy signals, and communication tactics that keep agents safe while lifting first contact success rates.

This year’s event runs over two days. We kick off Thursday from 5:00 pm with a relaxed evening of drinks, light food, and networking. Many attendees arrive from interstate the day before, so Thursday is your chance to unwind, meet peers, and visit exhibitor displays before the main conference. Come chat, make connections, and warm up for Friday’s full program.
